Citizens Who Care

Citizens Who Care is a coalition of Tarrant County concerned residents who care about property rights, eminent domain abuse, open government, wasteful spending, fiscal responsibility and keeping economic development in the hands of the private sector.

We feel that a common sense approach to this project was over looked. It's time to take a look at a comprehensive Alternative Plan for Trinity Uptown.

It’s a plan that takes little or no private land, uses far less public funds and allows the private sector to do what it does best - to respond to market forces and opportunities as they present themselves. It also allows government bodies to do what they do best - to provide regulatory incentives and other support for private entities to develop the projects proposed in the Plan.

Please take some time to look through our on-line presentation and see how this project could and should proceed.

The Alternate Plan could start today without rerouting the river, without using eminent domain land takings, and without 90% of the proposed public funds. It is a plan that can proceed without slowing down other projects in the area such as the community college facilities and without losing the impact of the planning and engineering work done to date.
